Welding Gloves / ÇARIKÇI
Welding Gloves and Heat-Resistant Leather Work Gloves
Leather glove models for every job where the hand meets heat, sparks and hot metal splashes, from stick welding to TIG work, grinding and foundry tasks.

ÇARIKÇI
The hand is protected for the job.
Choosing a welding glove is not a single measurement. Stick and MIG/MAG welding call for thick leather and a long cuff against heat and slag; TIG and argon welding need thin, supple leather so the welder can feel the filler wire. Needing two different gloves in the same workshop is normal.
Every Çarıkçı glove comes from our own production. Leather thickness, welding thread and cuff length follow the risk of the work, and load-bearing points are reinforced. Our strip-reinforced model adds an extra leather strip across the palm for longer service in heavy use.
For bulk orders we plan size distribution and delivery with you. Everything is made in our workshop in Arnavutköy, Istanbul; sample requests can be sent through the contact form.
All productsWhich glove should you choose?
- Stick and MIG/MAG welding: thick leather, long cuff. Leather welding gloves or the strip-reinforced model.
- TIG / argon welding: thin goatskin for tactile sensitivity. Argon welding gloves.
- Grinding and general workshop work: denim-cuff leather gloves give sound protection at a lower cost.
- Heavy, abrasive use: the strip-reinforced palm lasts noticeably longer.
- The cuff should be long enough that the wrist is never exposed; paired with sleeves the arm is covered to the shoulder.
- Gloves are sold by the pair; confirm your size distribution before a bulk order.
Standards that apply to gloves
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| EN ISO 21420 | General requirements for protective gloves: harmless materials, correct sizing and sufficient dexterity. |
| EN 388 | Mechanical risks. Abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance as a four-digit code; the 2016 edition adds TDM cut (A–F) and impact (P) levels. |
| EN 407 | Thermal risks. Burning behaviour, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat and small or large molten metal splashes as a six-digit code. |
| EN 12477 | Welding gloves. Type A is for higher heat resistance (stick, MIG/MAG), Type B for higher dexterity (TIG/argon). |
