Work Aprons: Leather Welding Aprons and Denim Aprons

Apron models that protect the torso from sparks, slag and abrasion: full leather for hot work, denim for workshop and assembly tasks.

Material. Craft. Detail.

ÇARIKÇI

The quickest way to protect the torso.

An apron is the fastest piece of protective equipment to put on. A leather welding apron closes the area from the chest to below the knee against sparks and slag, and is preferred where a jacket would be too warm. Adjustable neck and waist ties let one size fit a wide range of builds.

A denim apron is not made for thermal risk but for the dust, friction and dirt of workshop and assembly work. Thick denim, double-stitched edges and a washable construction make it practical for daily use. Where welding or hot work happens, use a leather apron.

Both models have reinforced ties and load points. For corporate orders we can apply your logo and work in a specific colour.

Which apron should you choose?

  • Welding, grinding, foundry and hot work: the full-leather welding apron.
  • Assembly, workshop, warehouse and light grinding: the denim work apron.
  • Where people stand all day, a lightweight leather apron reduces fatigue.
  • An apron alone does not protect the arms; pair it with sleeves or a jacket for welding.
  • Adjustable neck and waist ties mean one size fits most builds.
  • For corporate orders, tell us about logo printing and colour when you request a quotation.

Standards that apply to aprons

StandardScope
EN ISO 13688General requirements for protective clothing: ergonomics, harmless materials, size marking and care information.
EN ISO 11611Protective clothing for welding and allied processes. Class 1 covers lower, Class 2 higher spatter and radiant loads.
EN ISO 11612Clothing to protect against heat and flame, with letter codes for convective, radiant and molten metal exposure.

The standards above are the references that apply to this product group in the industry. We confirm in writing which certificate and which performance levels a specific model carries when we send a quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Can a denim apron be used for welding?
No. The denim apron is designed for workshop, assembly and light grinding work and is not made for thermal risk. Use the leather welding apron wherever welding, casting or hot work takes place.
What length is the leather apron?
Our standard model protects from the chest to below the knee. The neck strap and waist ties adjust, so one size fits a wide range of builds. For bulk orders we can work to a specific length.
Can a leather apron be washed?
Do not machine wash a leather apron. Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it in the shade. The denim apron can be machine washed at a low temperature.
Do you print logos on aprons?
Yes, we apply logos on corporate orders. Send the quantity, your logo file and the intended placement together with your quotation request.
Should I choose an apron or a jacket?
An apron goes on faster, weighs less and is cooler over a long shift, but covers only the torso. A jacket also covers the arms and protects more. For heavy spatter choose the jacket; for moderate, long-running work an apron with sleeves works well.
